The First Trimester
1 - 12 weeks
Congratulations, you’re pregnant! But this isn’t always when you feel your best once the hormones kick in.
Nausea and vomiting can take their toll, contributing to neck and rib pain, and even headaches.
Relaxin helps your body to adapt to the changes of pregnancy, but you may start to get niggles: lower back pain, pelvic pain, or that ankle sprain you thought had resolved.
Tiredness and fatigue mean you’re just not feeling yourself mentally or physically.
The Second Trimester
13 - 27 weeks
Hopefully, by now, you’re starting to feel a little better and your bump is starting to show.
This means your organs have to move somewhere and those ribs could be feeling a little tight.
Maybe you’re short of breath or starting to feel some reflux symptoms?
Your pelvis is changing, and your centre of gravity is shifting, so how it that lower back doing? Any ligament or hip pain?
The Third Trimester
28 - 40+ weeks
There’ll be another big shift in your centre of gravity, with your bump and breasts pulling you forward.
Are those lower back and glutes doing okay, or do they need some support? What about your hips, with the constant sleeping on your side? Hopefully, that pregnancy pillow has paid for itself by now!
Swelling and ankle stiffness may make walking a challenge, and your wrists might experience carpal tunnel syndrome.
Hopefully, baby is head down and in a great position, but if not, we can try and make some space for them and you before delivery.
